Strahan Solstice Banner - Light Up The West

Strahan Solstice Festival

We had a blast at the 2026 Strahan Solstice Festival held from June 18th - 21st!

Once again, we were joined by our wonderful community and visitors alike for our Night Walk Adventure at Ocean Beach Trail and our family and adult Night Walks at Hogarth Falls/People's Park.

This year we introduced a new free event - a documentary screening! Josh worked hard behind the scenes to get this project together, showcasing David Attenborough's 'Tasmania, Weird & Wonderful' in the historic Bond Store.

We were also invited to officially open the 'DARK' Exhibition held by the Huon Pine Shop and Gallery. We shared stories about what the dark meant to us and concluded by turning off the lights and putting all of the guests in the dark, there we stood and listened to a soundscape Josh created.

Strahan Solstice Festival 2025

Have a look at some highlights from the 2025 festival, where Whitmore's Wild ran our free event at Hogarth Falls featuring a night walk adventure for both adults and children.
We were thrilled to see so many people interested in the wonders of the West Coast by night - thank you to the community and visitors alike for one of the highlights of our year!
