KAYLEE'S NIGHT WALK ADVENTURE
Join us in the Ocean Beach Conservation Area for a fun and informative guided night walk, looking for the sights, sounds, tracks and traces of Tasmania's unique nocturnal wildlife.
...
At twilight, you will learn how to identify Strahan/Tasmanian wildlife along with their burrows, scats, tracks, calls and footprints.
You will discover interesting facts about nocturnal creatures, including their ecology and behaviour as we walk through a Eucalyptus forest.
Arriving at Tasmania's longest beach, we will be embraced by the evening's glow over the ocean.
As the sky darkens we will begin our spotlighting, in search of our local wildlife... we never know what we will see, but we have fun walking in the night, trying to spot them.
...
On this guided night walk adventure you may spot some mammals going about their nightly business, like a beautiful possum or tiny microbats.
You could also spot fantastic frogs or creepy crawlies like spiders.
You will hear animals nearby rustling in the bushes or readying their voices for the night.
We would love for you to see all of the above wildlife and more. However, please be reminded that these animals are completely wild and are not fed, touched or enticed in any way.
Whilst animal sightings aren't guaranteed - you will certainly leave this tour fully prepared to discover and identify wildlife during your time in Tasmania and beyond.
